Finishing Shed buildings

In these building on the pig unit:

• There are four identical rooms with 14 pens of up to 25 pigs.
• Fully-slated floors maintain hygiene and temperature and ventilation are controlled by a computer.
• The finishing pigs have a variety of toys to play with.
• Pigs enter from the weaner building at 42 kg (11.5 weeks old), and will be 110+ kg when they leave 9 - 11 weeks later.
• After nine weeks, the heaviest nine pigs/pen will go for slaughter, they should average 120+ kg.
• The pigs will eat about 180 kg feed each, delivered to each pen automatically by the Multifast feed system.
